Our client are a reputable design and build contractor based in the North West. They have over 35 years in completing successful contracts through a wide spectrum of market sectors. They specifically specialise in both refurbishment and new build projects.
They have extensive knowledge of new technologies which enables our client, with the assistance of their own in-house designers, to accurately reflect a corporate image, whether this be in an industrial location or a prestigious commercial development along traditional lines. Their affiliations include various community trusts, sports councils, sporting organisations and commercial and industrial clientele.
Initially our client provide a speculative feasibility study of the clients requirements comprising concept plans and elevations, and budget cost information, together with experienced advice relating to possible financial grants, fundings etc. Our client will then prepare detailed drawings, full specification and a detailed contract cost analysis together with a full planning application and tender procurement. Due to increased workload our client require an interim Site Manager for a minimum duration of 26 weeks for a Design & Build commercial and retail project in Kent. Start date in 4 weeks.
Purpose: Ensure project is built to required quality on time and at minimum cost. Position Reports To: Construction Director Key Accountabilities and Deliverables: Manage project to successful completion at min cost, keeping management informed at all stages. Build safely according to policy Key Tasks: Manage subcontractors - ensure working safely and efficiently, with all trades co ordinated. Manage the issue of construction issue information. Maintain accurate site records. Fulfil accountabilities within the Health and Safety Action Plan. Fulfil accountabilities within the Quality Assurance Plan. Monitor progress against Contract Programme. Prepare and monitor short term programmes. Supervise direct labour. Attend contract review meetings and present site overhead costs. Monitor and project overhead costs with the site surveyor. Prepare reports and attend progress meetings. Chair subcontract site meetings and produce meeting minutes. Manage correspondence. Develop and maintain good working relationships with design team/client and supply chain. Promote company image.
