Business Development Manager - Southern Region Job description By working closely with the southern area Regional Manager and his sales team, identify market sectors, projects and clients where a design, supply and construct package based on our range of retaining wall and erosion protection solutions will be of interest to the client and will assist the Southern Regional manager in securing sales. Liaise with marketing department with regard to the preparation of case studies and promotional literature and joint participation in promotional events. Provide initial outline proposals and budget costs for the complete range of the firms solutions. Following the submission of a formal tender/quotation maintain close contact with the client to deal with queries, negotiate contract details and finally negotiate the contract. Liaise with designers at award stage with a view to employing the combined strengths of the two companies to secure sales and design and build contracts at enhanced margins. Identify and develop relationships with reliable Sub-Contractors and assist in the training of these sub contractors to the level necessary to ensure that the company ethos and quality of construction is maintained at all times. Liaise closely with the client and Construction site management staff to ensure that the Company ethos of “trouble free contracting” is maintained and that the client is delivered the full package that was promoted and submitted to ensure client satisfaction throughout contract. Maintain close contact with site during the construction phase to assist the construction manager where necessary and ensure that communications are maintained with particular regard to ensuring that potential problems and cost variations are identified as early as possible. The candidate will; - Have a background in the management of civil engineering or specialist contracting with a track record that demonstrates an ability to grow a start up contracting business. - Have experience in basic estimating. - Be proficient with CAD - Be familiar with excel, word. power point and data base/CRM systems.
