Our client is a top 5 UK contractor and has recently been voted as one of the top 100 contractors to work for. They currently work on contracts ranging from £5m - £50m and have recently bid for two tenders in the £60 - £80m region so are really expanding. Our client is part of a very successful group and are currently looking for Assistant Quantity Surveyors for a £35m new build school project which commences in Jan 2009.
The main duties for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be to initially be based in the London office for the rest of the year right up to commencement of the Bracknall project. Once the contract begins the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be involved with site measurements, assisting the Quantity Surveyors with variations, sub contractor payments and cost value reconciliations on the contract which is estimated to be 2 years in duration.
The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be from ideally a main contracting background, or from a large fit out company with experience of projects in the region of £15m. Must ideally have a relevant quantity surveying qualification. |
