The Job:
Our client is seeking a Site Engineer to join their project team on a major highways / tunnelling project in the South East Region. This major, £300m+ contract for the Highways Agency is set to run until 2011 and comprises 1.8km of twin-bore tunnel and 6.5km of two lane dual carriageway making it one of the most complex and challenging projects currently undertaken in the UK.
As site engineer for Roads, you will report to the Senior Engineer and be assigned to the construction of a section of dual carriageway where duties will include:
· setting out of line and level,
· maintaining health, safety and quality on site
· overseeing sub-contractors

Person Specification:
• Minimum HNC/D Qualified Civil Engineer - Preferably degree qualified
• Experienced in Setting Out using EDM / Levels
• Hard Working, Intelligent, Proactive, Problem Solver
• IT Literate
• Graduate with experience or
• previous employment with blue chip civils contractor on large projects
