Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Technician to join their busy Aviation team in Hampshire.
You will play a key role within existing project teams delivering civil and structural engineering related project work, in particular the design and layout of airfield pavements and will have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of projects. Day to day responsibilities will include:
• Production of AutoCAD drawings for scheme planning and detailed design stages
• Liaison with the client and contractors during the delivery process
• The supervision of technical staff
• Organise and undertake site surveys and inspections as necessary, including the preparation of associated site sketches and survey reports
• Issuing documents and project correspondence to clients and contractors in accordance with the Quality Assurance process
• Ensuring compliance to the appropriate project specifications, design and health and safety standards as required
• Assisting administrative staff in the maintenance of project spreadsheets
You will preferably be qualified up to HNC / ONC level (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering and have practical experience of structural, building or civil engineering disciplines, a good working knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Previous experience in the aviation sector would be beneficial, although not essential.
A highly innovative and flexible person, you will have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work well either alone or as part of a team.
A full driving licence valid in the U.K. is essential.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £25 - 30,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
