We're working with a renowned international consultancy, to appoint a senior Infrastructure Engineer for their office in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing practice area. The jobholder will be responsible for designing roads and drainage for infrastructure projects, and providing strategic expertise to development projects. The postholder will also be required to execute and complete projects under the direction of the Project Manager, provide technical expertise in roads and drainage design, provide technically competent inputs to projects, and complete work in accordance with QA and Health and Safety requirements. To become part of this unique team you will be Chartered or an Incorporated Engineer, have a degree in Civil Engineering or other appropriate industry qualification, and significant UK industry experience. In addition, you will be able to produce detailed designs using 3D highway design packages, hand methods and drainage design packages; be familiar with the Design Manual For Roads and Bridges; have experience of obtaining highway/drainage authority approval for developer funded infrastructure schemes; and be able to negotiate and obtain section agreements such as Section 104, Section 278 and Section 38. You will also be able to take part in and prepare sections of project reviews; have detailed knowledge of road design, drainage design and storage design; be able to undertake tender administration and contract administration duties, and have knowledge of public sector procurement requirements and aspects of highway and drainage law.In addition to great career prospects and high profile projects to work on, the company offers an excellent basic salary and a great benefits package.
