Our clients are a large Consultancy organisation, who are looking to recruit a Principal Civil Engineer at their offices in Stevenage. You will be responsible to help successfully deliver the civil and structural engineering solutions to a range of clients in the Anglia, London and South East. The buoyant workload and variety of work, for the maintenance and new works of infrastructure in the rail environment, is both challenging and exciting.
Experience
Practical experience of railway civil engineering works, preferably within a consultancy environment, including:
Building / structures design and / or assessment
Building / structures inspection
Drainage and earthworks design and remediation
Surveying / setting out
Experience of managing programmes of work on-time and within budget
Experience of the rail industry would be advantageous, but is not essential
The successful candidate should be able to:
Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team
Good IT skills, including MS Office
Good attention to detail
Flexibility in working patterns
Excellent communication skills
Lead a team of engineers.
Qualifications
Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Driving license essential
PTS desirable
