What is the Role?
The Croydon office of this International Rail Consultancy requires a Principal Bridge Engineer who will be responsible for day-to-day management of a bridge design team within the office and would be expected to take on a broader range of civil/structural designs.
· Responsibility for technical and commercial management of projects and management of individual client accounts. · The individual would be expected to meet clients regularly and ensure that they were provided with a first class service. · There would be further opportunities for personnel advancement upon successful contribution to the expansion of our already growing workload.
The applicant must be capable of taking a hands-on approach to design and technical coaching of junior staff. Why should I apply?

What Skills do I need?
§ Good communication skills, good team player and ability to lead. § Ideally the applicant should have sufficient railway bridge design experience to be able to technically manage a small bridge design team with minimal supervision. § In addition the applicant should have `client facing` experience and be able to manage the client interface on a day-to-day basis. § The applicant will be expected to undertake a broad range of civil/structural projects and a background with broad experience would be an advantage.
