This client is seeking a Technician to undertake a range of technical tasks to gain a broad exposure of typical transport planning and infrastructure projects, with in their busy Newbury office. This unique role will involve working closely with the Transport Planners and Design Engineers to deliver AutoCAD drawings and engineering layout drawings; source data and statistics to meet project requirements; develop an understanding of role and function of the land use planning process; gain an understanding of the structure of responsibility within planning and highways authorities; and develop an awareness of the legislative framework underpinning both disciplines.
You must possess excellent numerate, analytical, communication, organisational and report writing skills and have a keen interest in transport planning and civil engineering.
The successful candidate must have a positive attitude to take on responsibility, be receptive to new methods and information, be able to show initiative in the delivery of tasks and respond to difficult situations in a constructive manner.
