What is the Role?
This is a role for a Highways Engineer to join a large consultancy based in Wokingham.
This project will offer you excellent opportunities for individuals to develop and progress within the company.
As part of this role you shall be responsible for managing the routine maintenance of highway structures and the passage of abnormal loads throughout the Borough, Instructing and supervising works of the highway maintenance contractor, maintaining records of the highway structures assets, the design and supervision of capital maintenance schemes and the assessment of highways where necessary to meet health and safety requirements.
Who are the likely candidates?
Degree in Civil Engineering or HNC/HND.
· Experience working on highway design projects preferably at tender and detailed design stages.
· Familular with design which may include highway alignment and junctions, safety barrier, drainage, pavement and traffic signs.
· DMRB design standards and MMHW specifications.
· Working towards Chartership.
