What is the Role?
We are currently seeking a Chartered/Graduate Highways Design Engineer to undertake the concept, outline and detail design of Highways, sewerage and drainage schemes under the direction of the Lead design Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the work of graduate engineers and technicians.

Successful candidates will have experience of being the main contact point for and taking the lead with clients and in dealing with Authoritive bodies.
Should be able to drive and have passed the driving test.
You will be of good character, able to lead and direct young graduate engineers, able to communicate well in both verbal and written form with clients and colleagues.
What Skills do I need?
A minimum of five years experience working for a civil engineering design consultancy as a design engineer within the private sector. Client projects include commercial, industrial, residential and retail development schemes therefore experience within these fields is necessary.
Should be experienced in the use of SUDs techniques for surface water drainage and have experience in providing the design information required to obtain Highway, Local and Sewerage Authority approvals under Section 38, 106 and 104 agreements.
