If you are a Chartered / Graduate Engineer or equivalent with a good degree or appropriate qualification in Civil Engineering, we would like to hear from you.
An opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer to work under the direction of a Lead Design Engineer, to undertake the concept, outline and detail design of highways, sewerage and drainage schemes.
You will also be expected to oversee the work of graduate engineers and technicians and guide and mentor these members of the team as required.
You will have extensive experience working for a civil engineering design consultancy as a Design Engineer, working on private sector client projects such as commercial, industrial, residential and retail development schemes.
Your experience should also include the use of SUDs techniques for surface water drainage and in providing the design information required to obtain Highway, Local and Sewerage Authority approvals under Section 38, 106 and 104 agreements.
With experience and the confidence of being the main point of contact for clients, you will also be confident taking the lead and in dealing with authoritative bodies.
You will have excellent communication and mentoring skills, enabling you to lead and direct less experienced members of staff.
A driving licence valid in the UK is essential.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the region of £40 - 46,000 p.a., together with a generous benefits package.
