This large multi-disciplinary consultancy has an opportunity for an Engineer in order to help successfully deliver civil and structural engineering solutions to a range of Rail clients in South East of England. The workload is challenging, exciting and varied and includes the maintenance and new works of infrastructure in the rail environment. You will be required to undertake the following key activities: Production of detailed design solutions using both manual and software analysis Report writing. CAD literate using AutoCAD and/or Microstation Supervision of site work. Undertake safety critical responsibilities within a railway environment. You will have practical experience of civil engineering works, preferably within a consultancy environment, including: Building / structures design and / or assessment Building / structures inspection Drainage and earthworks design and remediation Surveying / setting out Delivery of work on-time and within budget Experience of the rail industry would be advantageous, but is not essential You should also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Good IT skills, including MS Office. Good attention to detail. Flexibility in working patterns and excellent communication skills. With regards to qualifications you should have a Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline, a driving license and ideally PTS (not essential). |
