We are looking for an Improvement Engineer with relevant experience in a process industry environment
Suitable candidates for the position of Improvement Engineer should either have a Degree in Chemical Engineering or Polymer science, a HNC in engineering or else extensive experience in the polymer industry and a willingness to attain the appropriate qualification
The main purpose of the role of Improvement engineer (Polymer Industry) will be to improve capability and efficiency in the different areas on site by providing technical and investigative support (e.g. process troubleshooting, process improvement and incident follow up).
Specific duties will include -
* Ensuring the integrated development of equipment, systems and processes. * Finding proposals for corrective and preventive actions. * Developing plant change and project proposals * Evaluating statistical process control data and making recommendations * Supporting the effective transfer and introduction of new products * Ensuring new equipment meets business objectives. * Providing technical assistance in the production of new developments * Supporting maintenance in the production and development of FMEA * Supporting HSEQ to reduce environmental impact * Supporting Production on reliability, quality and overall efficiency. * Supporting logistics on product handling and quality of incoming materials. * Supporting projects at the proposal, design development and implementation stages. * Leading the application of problem solving techniques
