Automotive Supplier requires a Technical Programme Manager, 60% of time based at Dunton 40% home based or on other sites

Basic Purpose and Function

Primary function is to control, encourage and maintain customer relationships for the company at customer bases. Duties include regular meetings with customers technical, purchasing and management teams. Manage projects using the company process and ensure programme delivery to customer deadlines. Track and resolve open issues and provide technical information including presentations. Facilitate and chair regular design team meetings on a global scale. Control new component engineering drawing releases and changes as well as managing any necessary changes to current production components. Communicate at all levels within the company.


Contacts (internal/external)

Day to day customer contact at all levels. Regular communication with other Personnel within Europe, America and Asia on project work.


Other (travel, working conditions unusual work schedules)

Primarily home based with 60% of weekly capacity on site in Essex. In addition must be willing to travel sometimes at short notice. Regular meetings in Europe and Coventry, international travel also occasionally required.


Skills (manual, self expression, planning, organizing)

Must have excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work to tight deadlines with minimum supervision. Previous experience of planning, leading and implementing projects required.


Education/Experience (minimum required)

Educated to degree level/equivalent bias towards Mechanical Engineering. Previous experience of working within the Automotive Industry essential. Working knowledge of Microsoft Software required. Experience of CAD IDEAS, WERS, Phased PPAP and APQP would be an advantage.
