An automotive OEM requires a System Validation Engineer Position Description: To act as leader for a group of systems and attributes at the powertrain as installed level. Overlooking a range of pre-programmed projects assessing technical alternatives -Drive Consistent tradeoffs to define and optimize pre-program content -Filters and consolidates requests from vehicle customer teams into PTE -Owns technology deployment (plan and implementation) working with R&A -Establishes effective SME (subject matter expert) network and driving alignment between R&A and PTE experts (as independent broker) -Drives target setting -Owns P/T to vehicle interface management for new technologies driving long term consistent and efficient front-end solutions (incl. alignment with vehicle Basic Design teams x-Brand) -Specific Systems and Attributes are to be determined according to skills and project mix. -Support other Basic Design team members as required. -Additional responsibilities may be added by agreement in the future. Skills Required: Ability to gather and analyse data and produce summaries. -A high degree of flexibility, particularly with respect to new working methods, working hours and travel. -The ability to work in teams and facilitate meetings as required. -Good presentation and negotiation skills -Willingness to interact with other at all levels is essential -Enthusiasm for driving new technologies, integrity and self-motivation are essential Experience Required: Knowledge of powertrain systems is advantageous, particularly in a specialist area.
