Description
Real Time Embedded application feature developer for Instrument Cluster Software, required to work within the automotive industry based in Essex, South East.
Job Requirements
Complete Description: This role is for an embedded software engineer with a background in the development of tools and methods for the building and testing of software. Specific aspects will include: 1. Complete specific assignments involving the integration of software and the creation of baselines. 2. Conduct activities and report progress against an individual plan managed by the software project coordinator. 3. Assist in the management of changes and defects. 4. Provide assistance to the team with tool and test setups and associated scripts. 5. Participate in and generate work product reviews. 6. Create functional and integration test cases. 7. Conduct functional verification on specific functionality on target. 8. Complete work items and changes in accordance with the CM and Project Plan and under the instruction and direction of the lead engineer.
Details
Skill Required / Desired : 1. Highly experienced in embedded real time / required. 2. Appreciation of low level software development. Context of build configure / required. 3. Familiar with debug techniques/GUI’s scripts and tools / required. 4. Familiar with configuration management tools and techniques / required. 5. Familiar with build scripts/ source linked output / hex format generation / required. 6. Ability to work under the day to day / Required. 7.CAN tools and scripts familiarity / Desired. 8. MOST tools and scripts familiarity / Desired. Hardware appreciation – ability to debug on target with scopes analysers Desired Education required: Degree in relevant engineering/technical field.
