Our client based in Basingstoke are seeking a Quality and Continuous Improvements Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The main job purpose is to monitor quality performance for a dedicated sector of the business, implement continuous improvement, to develop and maintain process control documentation as required and to develop new and existing manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency.
Primarily responsible for the following:
*Reviewing effectiveness of business operation policies and procedures.
*Promoting the company’s philosophy of continuous improvement.
*Monitoring and measuring process and product performance and action as appropriate.
Principle duties of the role:
*Create, implement, monitor and take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of dept plans and objectives
*Report performance against business objectives
*Investigating operational problems affecting production and dealing with them in a systematic, methodical manner.
Applicants must be conversant with the following:
*APQP and PPAP requirements
*Design and process FMEA’s
* Improving existing operations, incorporating new methods and processes
*Application of problem solving tools
*Kaisan
*Liaising with suppliers and customers
*Co-ordinating and leading projects
*ISO9001 and TS16949 conversant
* Have working knowledge or experience with the Automotive industry
