An automotive OEM requires a Project Control & Delivery Engineer
Position Description:
OBJECTIVES: Manage, project control and deliver of a timely fully validated and signed-off Automatic transmission System gearbox and installation parts - into a vehicle or platform application - meeting all corporate, legal, program, quality and cost objectives. Take systems responsibility and provide "one-stop shop" for our internal and external customers for transmission systems related items. Build relationship across internal functions and with supplier. TASKS INCLUDE: - Lead, manage, coordinate and develop communication between other Powertrain System Engineering groups (EESE, PDI, FCSD, vehicle team and PCM) for transmission system related items. - Coordinate interface with transmission supplier incl. issue of formal program direction. - Lead communication of and ensure resolution of all transmission system related issues identified during program up to and including Job1 - Organize and Lead Automatic Transmission PMT, program Information cascade (PDL, VPP, TIB, etc.) - Manage and coordinate supplier delivery of transmission system to match rig, vehicle and engine for various build levels - Create, issue and maintain detailed transmission project plan design/hardware, calibration, software - aligned with other functions to support program - Represent automatic transmission system in Powerpack/Powertrain PMT's and support program -
Skills Required:
TASKS CONTINUED: - Create, update and control transmission system program specific BOM for FoE and other markets - Coordinate FSU, production and all other releasing (WERS, AV BOM, ) activities for the program specific parts and also perform WERS releases for the transmission system - Lead set-up of and coordinate input and updates to eFDVS for automatic transmission system - Set-up and maintain POWER for project Gateway reporting and tracking - Support change management process with transmission supplier - Consolidate information and initiate/follow up RFQ's and part orders - Maintain and update transmission system specific e-room with up-to-date documentation - Lead development, documentation, deployment and continuous improvement of ATEO best practices for process, methods and documentation relating to project control and delivery of specific Transmission Control System.
Experience Required:
Experience in leading team, managing supplier base. Prior sub-system design and release experience. Familiarity with WERS, AIMS, eFDVS, GPDS, INTEGRATOR/POWER.
Education Required:
Engineering degree
