An automotive supplier requires a Project Control & Delivery Engineer

Job Purpose:
Client want strong engineering candidates looking to be stretched. The automotive industry is fast paced with all the challenges that can create. Tight timescales and complex problems to overcome are all in a days work to an engineer and client engineers meet these tests head on.
Job Responsibilities:
Knowledge and understanding of PCM's, auto transmission systems
Ideally experience of client
Lead manage, coordinate and develop communications between internal and external stakeholders.
Lead development, documentation, deployment and continuous improvement of best practices for
process, methods and documentation.
Develop and maintain request for quotations with suppliers
Maintain project plans
Support HIL development within the project
Create, update and control program specific BoM
Coordinate FSU, production and all other releasing (WERS & IVS) activities for program specific TCM
Lead the development of PCM throughout the project to Job#1 launch
Maintain the resolution of any problems which occur within the PCM development
Track, control and report program specific expenditure (engineering resource and supplier engineering costs)
Liaise with Homologation team/certification
Manage approval of targets & requirements deviation

Requirements:
A high degree of flexibility, particularly with respect to new working methods, working hours and travel
The ability to work in teams and facilitate meetings as required.
Good presentation and negotiation skills
Willingness to interact with other at all levels is essential
Enthusiasm for driving new technologies, integrity and self-motivation are essential.
Prior experience and familiarity with automotive electrical/electronic and mechanical systems
Application Skills and Knowledge (a mixture of the following):
Electronic Design
Embedded/Real time software design
Automotive electronics design
Powertrain Development
Digital/Analogue electronic design
FMEA
Microprocessor
Matlab/Simulink
RTOS
Experience & competencies
Must be able to communicate in English
Engineering Degree in or relevant qualification
Knowledge and understanding of PCM's, auto transmission systems
Ideally experience of client
Ability to demonstrate use of initiative, perseverance and liaison skills
Travel as required
