Job description You manage the Power Supply cost reduction ideas, from idea generation to implementation for all carlines. You support on going product improvement actions for the Power Supply System on all carlines and you lead delivery of the Power Supply System for B299 based Asia Pacific programmes. Further you liaise with core power supply engineering. You are responsible for the release of all components using the WERS system. Moreover you work with suppliers to ensure the delivery of their products in line with Ford requirements. In addition you support Ford and supplier manufacturing plants when required. Another feature of this job is to ensure, that all changes are supported with quality paperwork, i.e. FMEA, 8D. Furthermore you support the Power Supply team in investigating and resolving any quality issues on the vehicles. Components in the Power Supply Systems are alternator with regulator and pulley (solid & OWC), battery, starter motor, starter motor to powertrain fixing hardware, hardware for B+ connections. The Power Supply system also includes energy management, installation of starter motor to powertrain, engine cranking & cold cranking speed. Your profile Your profile shows experience in design and development tools - eFDVS as well as in quality tracking tools such as FMEA, DVP&R, 8D. You have strong project management skills and the ability to work in team. Knowledge of the power supply system is preferred. The ability to use DRID and WERS would be an advantage. Travel to Ford and FSS plants are required.
