An automotive OEM requires a Diesel CAD Engineer
Position Description:
Extensive knowledge of 3D Solid Modelling CAD for component and assembly design. Will be required to produce fully complete 3D models of various engine components that fit within the available package space. Work with the component engineers and suppliers to ensure functional and manufacturing attributes are delivered within the design.
Skills Required:
Must be experienced in use of IDEAS and / or CATIA v.5 Must be familiar with data management tools such as Metaphase or Teamcenter.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of visualisation tools such as VisMockup or VPM and experience of power train layouts would be advantageous. Experience or Knowledge of relevant production processes and material applications e.g. metal forming, plastics, forgings etc.
Experience Required:
Experience of working with 3D CAD modelling tools. Experience on CAD systems which must be EDS "Ideas" and / or CATIA .
Education Required:
Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level.
