An automotive OEM requires a Building Services - Engineer Project Manager.
Position Description: Manage and co-ordinate activities associated with implementation of building services and infrastructure projects and studies at various UK and Ireland customer and affiliate locations with respect to safety, quality, planning, tender documentation, design, construction, commissioning, testing, hand over, supervision, safety, cost control, payments, scheduling, reporting and permits. Oversee the day-to-day activities of contractors appointed for the implementation of projects to ensure safety and quality standards are met and project timing is achieved.
Skills Required: Building Services engineering expertise, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems expertise, Project Management, Business skills (managing contracts, negotiation, controlling budgets & schedules) Safety (Understand roles and responsibilities of CDM2007, Risk assessment, Method Statement review). Communication skills (coordination/liaison), problem solving skills (analyze options/innovations, planning, risk management), technical skills (Understand the civil/construction process and information technology skills. Skills Preferred: Perseverance, responsibility, and thoroughness in completing tasks, judgement - ability to differentiate between trivial and important details, trustworthiness, personal integrity and honesty. Team player - able to work in close relationship with other team members and be open minded to new ideas and the ability to deal with diverse workforce, different mentalities and cultures. Education Required: Candidate has building Services related degree and relevant experience. PRINCE2 or equivalent. Education Preferred: Extensive experience in Building Services related project management. Strong general knowledge of contracting strategies, project phases and project delivery systems
