Preparation phase
Produce timely documentation to support critical handling activities and integration of flight equipment. (procedures and work instructions)
Follow lead process (Backward pass routing, production schedule, kit definition etc).
Confirm GSE availability and coordinate delivery in line with schedule.
Inputs to preparation GO meeting.
Technical Input to project to ensure that new process and test methods do not compromise AIT activities
and production times. (Design for Integration & Design for Test).
Responsible for ensuring that our working modes and processes are standardised and optimised.
Reporting out to the group new processes, improvements and skill requirements.
Responsible for IDAS Leading procedure preparation.
Operational phase
Close out work packages with Integration Team leader & Production Controller.
Technical liaison with all concerned stakeholders, i.e. lead investigations and IOR resolution & operational
Support.
Support quality reviews.
External relationships
Project staff at Payload and Satellite level.
Mechanical Ground Support Equipment sub-contractors.
Some interface with end customer for technical aspects.
Personnel attributes
Able to work offsite (UK and abroad) for undefined periods at short notice.
Work overtime and occasional shifts.
Good team leading abilities and high self-motivation.
GSE movement coordination back up to the Integration Team Leader.
Maintenance of GSE documentation throughout the project.
Co-ordinate and lead all critical handling activities as the Operations Director.
Act as the Project Safety Engineer during critical handling activities.
Responsible for the shipping process, and co-ordination with logistics.
Expected to be on call to answer all issues.
Documentation on line to be maintained and created to support the operations (IOR Rework, DT s etc).
Responsible for technical support to IDAS.
As Built / As designed reconciliation.
Reports to AIT Project Manager.
Good problem solving skills(technical, logistics and organisational).
Good planning skills and process competence, (MRP system experience an advantage).
Good communication skills
