As part of the Central Electrical Engineering in UK, the candidate shall carry out electrical engineering activities in support to the project system teams within various business units.
With particular involvement in RF system Design and Analysis for Space Applications (satellites,
planetary surface modules such as rovers), the role requirements include:
Liaison with system architects and understanding of system design and requirements, including TT&C design for telecommunication, EO and deep space satellites.
Understand limitations of components such as filters, mixers, amplifiers, antennas etc, and effects on system
design.
Interface with the system teams and possibly with end user.
Elaborate system design budgets
Perform link budget analysis
Perform RF compatibility analysis
Input and preparation of test plans and procedures
Review Test Reports
Follow up of new RF technologies and techniques
Participate in R&D activities
The successful candidate will like to work in a transnational team, be open minded and have a pro-active attitude.
In addition it is expected that the successful candidate will develop experience in a second electrical discipline such as harness design, electrical power or EMC analysis to support other areas of the team.
Qualifications and/or Skills
The successful candidate will have a good electrical engineering background, preferably degree qualified in a relevant subject area.
Familiarity. of component design (such as filters, mixers, amplifiers), ideally at a practical level.
Experience of commercial EMC applicable software packages (e.g. 3D modelling, circuit and system design tools, GTD analysis) is desirable put not essential.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
