Ensure the planned Quality Assurance arrangements are satisfactorily completed in the clean room, by delegation from the AIT Quality Assurance Manager. Perform and report against planned AIT Quality Assurance activities throughout full AIT life-cycle on Satellite and Ground Support Equipment. Ensure conformity of AIT operations within the Cleanroom in accordance with Plans, Processes and Procedures for the Satellites and Ground Support Equipment, to approved quality standards. Promote good practice and suggest improvements across the international Product Assurance organisation.
Internal & External Relationships
Internal Responsible to the AIT Quality Manager Portsmouth, then AIT UK QA Manager. Work in a project teams environment with Product Assurance Engineers, AIT personnel, and Schedulers. Liaise with the AIT Integration Manager concerning staff skill levels. Liaise with personnel responsible for the calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments.

Skills Required for the Job Practised in Space/Aerospace Quality Control Inspection activities. Good team worker with agreeable interpersonal skills. Ability to accomplish verification activities using above ground support structures. Good visual acumen. Computer literacy to provide data, reports, or statistics, generally using Microsoft Office templates. Willingness to work on shift or off-site for short periods when required. Potential flexibility to travel, on occasion, within the UK and Europe if necessary.
Experience anticipated Inspection of critical electronic/electrical/electro-mechanical hardware. Work within Design and Manufacture Engineering business. Participation in Process Control surveillance and improvement activities, through full product lifecycle phases. Understanding of Space/Aerospace Quality Assurance Requirements. Knowledge of general Space/Aerospace requirements.

Main Activities Review and verify the certification of AIT staff participating in the various process activities, through the skills training and certification procedures.Ensure, in coordination with Team Leaders and Schedulers, that AIT staff participating in the various process activities utilise controlled procedures (or other documents), materials and facilities. Inspection verification of production activities at the quality control review stages planned in the operational Work Instructions and procedures, including completeness of operations. Ensure Equipment configuration upgrades are correctly implemented and completed in operational Work Instructions. Monitor and Inspection of critical activities in the process. Perform Key Inspection Point activities. Monitor activities for risk to personnel or equipment, in conjunction with the Team Leader. Inspection of Equipments re-directed to storage, supplier or alternative project. Ensure corrective action resulting from Integration Occurrence Reports are correctly implemented and controlled. Monitor all AIT cleanroom and project equipment used to perform measurements to ensure calibration, maintenance and that adequate records are maintained.
