They are now seeking the following engineering professionals for their sites in Portsmouth and Stevenage:
Engineering Manager (Stevenage) – You will be a recognised expert in mechanical or thermal design, analysis and test at system level. In addition you will be expected to take an active role in R&D and efficiency improvement projects. Ideally you will possess proven experience in heat transfer and thermal analysis techniques or dynamic analysis and test of spacecraft structures.
Engineering Team Leader (Stevenage) – With similar responsibilities to the above you should possess knowledge of heat transfer methods including thermal analysis tools such as Esatan, Esarad or Systema.
Design Engineer (Stevenage) – You will be responsible for the control, correctness, accuracy and relevance of all drawings, models, bill of materials and engineering change notes. You will also be the authorised design drawing office signatory for manufacturing drawings.
Head of Mechanical Design Office (Stevenage) – You will have overall responsibility to ensure that space hardware designs meet all strength, stiffness and geometric requirements. Ideally degree qualified you will have recognised experience in spacecraft/instrument structures design.
Mechanical Architect (Stevenage) – You will undertake management of the mechanical sub-systems (including structures, mechanisms, booms) both in-house and sub-contract. HNC/Degree qualified, you will prepare/evaluate test plans and also maintain a database of equipment mechanical qualification status.
Mechanical Design Engineer (Stevenage or Portsmouth) – Degree qualified, your role will be to design servo controlled gimballed satellite communications antennae for naval applications. You should possess experience of composites design, FEA and the design of structures relating to environmental conditions, shock, vibration, temperature etc.
Principal Mechanical Engineer (Portsmouth) – At system or component level you will perform analysis, design, development and testing activities as well as supervising and supporting other engineers. HND/Degree qualified you will have experience gained within the aerospace industry and knowledge of Nastran FEA or Ideas CAD will prove highly advantageous.
Principal Thermal Engineer (Portsmouth) – You will carry out design, analysis and test activities at system or component level as appropriate. Ideally with mechanical design and structural analysis skills you should possess knowledge of key software tools such as Ideas TMG or ESATAN.
