Hays Energy in Aberdeen are currently working in partnership with a client to resource a Lead Electrical / Electronic Engineer.
Our client has patents pending for a new and innovate type of technology that can be used for renewable energy and as a sustainable source of energy. It harnesses Wave power and the design has already been tested at a smaller scale as a prototype. It can generate power from hydraulic energy into electrical energy and is a totally clean source. It is also not completely visible from the shore therefore may be a preference in comparison to some of the other types of renewable technology on the market.
They are still in the R&D stage of the project, developing the floating device that would be moored offshore. They anticipate they will start offshore testing by 2010 if not before however there are a few challenges they currently need to overcome.
They are looking to recruit a highly experienced and technically minded electrical engineer to help them with the electrical and electronic part of the project.
They need a lead electrical technical authority to get involved with the development of the project from initial model test to offshore launch.
This could be a hugely exciting role for someone looking for a challenge and a break-away from the ordinary.
You would be involved with the design, development and market sector analysis of technology that could be applicable.
They need to ensure the electrical output is smooth following the conversion from hydraulic energy therefore it poses a significant engineering challenge for a highly motivated individual to bring something to the team and undertake this challenge.
They have funding in place to sustain the development therefore they just now need the right engineer........
