Our Client works in partnership with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Defence Estates (DE) in support of Regional Prime Contract (Scotland) providing Capital Works projects.
The have a current requirement for a Senior CDM Coordinator and Manager in Scotland. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager you will be actively involved in developing and controlling the CDM activities on projects across 18 sites.
The successful candidate will have experience of working as a Planning Supervisor/CDMC and providing general Health and Safety advice to a variety of clients. You will be required to;
maintain and implement the CDM competency and control the CDM projects register across the region
liaise with CDM Co-ordinators and Customer Representatives during all project stages
audit the supply chain and projects for compliance with the CDM Regulations
be able to conduct health and safety/hazard workshop to train staff across the business and supply chain on awareness of CDM
develop and implement the CDM improvement plan
Applicants should have a background in construction and have experience of working in project management and of construction design. They should also hold a NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Construction Certificate and ideally NEBOSH Diploma or similarly approved qualification. Also membership of Association for Project Safety or Institution of Construction Safety would be an advantage.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
