Regional Civil Engineering contractor has an exciting opportunity for a Managing Surveyor to join the highly successful team based in their Glasgow office. The company has proven and extensive civil engineering and project management skills, delivering engineering excellence through cost-efficient, client focused solutions from minor works through to major infrastructure projects.
Duties will include:
Provide taking off and bill of quantities preparation.
Preparation of interim applications.
Identify and prepare additional items and claims.
Preparation and agreement of final accounts.
Advice on procurement issues.
Preparation of Sub-Contract enquiry packages, subsequent analysis of returned quotes prior to agreement of terms and conditions and placement of order
Measurement and valuation of sub-contract work
Preparation and negotiation of sub-contractors’ final accounts
Preparation of internal cost and value financial reporting and forecasting.
Assist in cost and risk management.
Document control and archiving.
Provide site management with commercial support and advice
Reviewing contract
Dealing with legal issues
Applicants should be qualified to a minimum of HNC / HND level in Quantity Surveyor and will preferably although not exclusively from a civil engineering background.
