Due to ongoing success within the Scottish region my client is currently looking to appoint a Director of Dispute and Expert Witness Services. The position comes with the responsibility of developing your own and the company name in the Scottish region whilst participating in the Delay and Quantum dispute and Expert Witness related work undertaken by the region from its strong international base of opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Managing project teams of Senior Consultants, Managing Consultants, Consultants and Analysts as necessary.
  • Preparation of advice, reports, presentations etc.
  • Liaising with clients and their Lawyers and leading in the provision of services to company clients.
  • Participating in promoting the business and services and in building and raising the industry profile of the company through your own and the company’s contacts.
  • Participating in and contributing to in-house training.
  • Participating in and contributing to seminars, external training, and the publication of learned articles.
  • Keeping up-to-date with current techniques of data analysis
  • Keeping up-to-date with current presentation software and techniques
  • Reviewing documentation and data
     

 


 

Ideal applicants should demonstrate significant construction industry experience coupled with at appropriate exposure to construction arbitration / litigation support work plus appropriate academic qualifications, construction or engineering based with a post graduate legal qualification, commensurate with this type of role and service provision. What is essential is demonstrable experience of at least acting as principal assistant to Expert or as Expert Witness, plus proven business development ability including personally secured dispute or Expert commissions in order to effectively manage and develop thereafter a team in your own mould.
