My client is looking to further develop their already successful team with power and energy sector expertise with the appointment of five further individuals to manage current workload as part of their growing reputation as a provider of commercial, contractual and litigation support services in this sector. This is a genuine opportunity to work with clients in this arena on a global basis with the team being directed from the Scottish office.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Managing project teams of Consultants and Analysts as necessary
- Preparation of advice, reports, presentations etc
- Liaising with clients and their Lawyers and assisting in the provision of services to those clients
- Participating in promoting the business and services and in building and raising the industry profile of the organisation
- Participating in and contributing to in-house training
- Participating in and contributing to seminars, external training, and the publication of learned articles
- Keeping up-to-date with current presentation software and techniques
- Reviewing documentation and data
Ideal applicants will demonstrate quantity surveying or cost engineering experience in the construction industry with a significant proportion or all of that time working in the power and energy sector. Coupled to this will be demonstrable experience of contracts administration utilisation of various contract forms including FIDIC and bespoke EPC forms, the ability to manage client expectations and have a proven association with clients in this sector from which to potentially develop business from in the mid to long term. You should also have the ability to work both in the UK and internationally as clients’ require. |
