If you are a successful experienced Rail Engineer then we would like to see your CV. The role is with a multi-disciplinary consultancy. It has been created to successfully deliver civil and structural engineering solutions to a range of clients in the Rail sector. This is an exciting and challenging role within a supportive team. They have buoyant workload and a variety of challenges. Your job role will involve; • Production of outline and detailed design solutions • Report writing. • Use of design software, including SuperStress. • Hand calculations. • Management of CAD resources • Mentorship of junior staff. • Client liaison • Liaise with internal and external sub contractors • Involvement with cost management, tenders, invoicing of projects • Client presentations • Supervision of site work • Undertake safety critical responsibilities within a railway environment. You will have practical experience of civil engineering works, preferably within a consultancy environment, including: • Bridge / structures design and / or assessment • Bridge / structures inspection • Drainage and earthworks design and remediation • Surveying / setting out Experience of managing programmes of work on-time and within budget Experience of the rail industry would be advantageous, but is not essential You will have the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team. Have good IT skills, including MS Office. Have good attention to detail and have flexibility in working patterns. Excellent communication skills are also required. As well as all of the above you will be able to work with out supervision and be able to work without supervision, lead a team of engineers. Plus all the other skills that you have acquired and can bring to the company. In terms of qualifications they are looking for a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline. A driving license essential and it would be desirable if you had PTS. |
