We now have a superb opportunity for a Roads Engineer to work for our client's accomplished Highways division based in Dundee. This requirement is a result of the recent success of this multi-disciplinary consultancy and you will be working on a wide variety of road designs throughout Scotland.
The successful candidate for the Roads Engineer position will be working within the design team and you will be responsible for helping to ensure that projects are delivered within the timescales, quality and costs agreed with the client. Other duties include undertaking road scheme assessment & design, supervising construction projects and helping with the preparation of tender documents. Within the role you will also be involved in the supervision and mentoring of graduates, assistant engineers and technicians within the team.
For this role you will be working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer, or be an Incorporated Engineer with relevant experience. Essential for this role is a good knowledge of road design standards, specifications and contract conditions, and also experience in producing feasibility & detailed design. You will have basic AutoCAD skills, experience in contract supervision and report writing.
