We now have a superb opportunity for a Roads Design Engineer to work for our client's accomplished Highways & Transportation division based in Aberdeen. This requirement is a result of the recent success of this multi-disciplinary consultancy and you will be working on a wide variety of road designs throughout Scotland.
This is a key position for a Roads Design Engineer to join an expanding team delivering professional services to a wide range of clients. The successful candidate for the role of Roads Designer will fulfill a demanding, challenging and rewarding role. Working as an integral part of a close-knit team, the opportunities for future personal development are significant. You will assist with winning new work and will also assist in the development and recruitment of staff, in particular Graduates and Technicians. You will also be providing technical support, and promoting technical excellence and there will be some client liaison.
The successful candidate will be a Chartered or nearly Chartered Engineer and have broad experience of designing highway based projects, have experience in Transport Scotland/ Highways Agency procedures and the ability to contribute to high profile tender submissions. You will have good interpersonal skills, leadership skills, be flexible and a motivated team player, be proactive, committed and enthusiastic.
