We now have two superb opportunities for a Graduate Design Engineer to work for our client¿s accomplished Highways and Transportation division, based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. This requirement is a result of the recent success of this multi-disciplinary consultancy and you will be working on a wide variety of Transportation projects throughout Scotland.
This is a key position as a Graduate Design Engineer and responsibilities for this role include checks of designs carried out by other team members, to undertake and supervise accident investigation and preventions studies and traffic and transportation design projects, undertake transport and traffic assessments for both public and private sector clients.
The successful candidate will be an individual with proven problem solving skills, have good command of English language both spoken and written and have the ability to apply engineering judgment to a wide range of technical challenges. You will hold a degree in an appropriate discipline within the Transportation/Civil Engineering field, have the ability to work in a team environment, and have knowledge of traffic assessment/analysis packages such as ARCADY, PICADY etc.
