The Role
• Conduct detailed design work on steel structures.
• Produce technical and design specifications
• Conduct verification of subcontractor design work, such as calculations, computer models and drawings.
• Estimation of bills of quantities and site surveys in response to client enquiries.
• Work with branch and HQ engineers, site installation and proposal teams from client enquiry through to project implementation regarding Civil and Structural design aspects.
The Candidate
• HND/HNC in Civil / Structures or Mechanical Engineering or associate membership of Civil or Structures or Mechanical Engineering Institution for Technologists
• BSc (Hons)/ BEng (Hons) in Civil/ Structural or Mechanical Engineering plus full membership of a professional institution
• Significant and appropriate experience in Civil and Structural Design within the thermal power or wider experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear or other heavy industries.
