Chartered Engineer Department/Division: Maritime Scotland - Edinburgh
Role: Chartered Civil Engineer
Responsibilities: Act as Project Manager on a range of projects principally relating to the fields of maritime, road and/or building structures.
Oversee and participate in the production of engineering design calculations, engineering design details and engineering reports for a range of projects relating to the fields of maritime and/or building structures.
Oversee and contribute to the production of technical, commercial and contractual documents for procurement of engineering projects.
Contribute to the development of the client base within the Glasgow and Edinburgh office’s through the production of proposals and interaction with clients. Participate in the development of new and existing client bases within the Glasgow and Edinburgh office’s. Provision of advice and expertise to more junior staff within the office.

CHARTERED ENGINEER Education Level BEng 1st – min 2.2 in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Should be from an accredited university course (by ICE or IStructE.)
Min 3 A levels, or 4 Highers – Maths/Sciences/1 other. No less than 7 GCSE’s or O grades that must include good passes in English Language and Maths. Further qualifications in structural engineering, management or communication skills.
Evidence of CPD in previous employment
Professional/Technical Qualifications Must be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with full membership of MICE or MIStructE
Experience:
Chartered Engineer preferably with a background in Maritime structures It would also be desirable for candidates to have experience in the following fields of work.
Building and/or Tower structures
Experience of structural analysis software MSTower, STAAD Pro and or SCALE.
Experience of using MSProject and MSOffice software

Experience of managing project teams
