SUMMARY OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The work is varied and will involve the preparation of General Arrangement, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steelwork drawings, structural element designs and specifications for a wide range of Public and Private Clients.
As a Structural CAD Technician you will be responsible for -
- Contract Administration incorporating preparation of specifications, Risk Assessments and Technical Method Statements.
- Preparation of General Arrangement, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steelwork, Timber and Masonry Building and Civil Engineering drawings.
- Compliance with Company Quality Assurance procedures with regard to the delivery of a technical design service.
- Co-ordinating own work and that of Junior CAD Technicians.
- Co-ordinating technical drawings in accordance with relevant statutory design codes and regulations.
- Maintains and develops AUTOCAD standards, 3D modelling & AUTOCAD REVIT

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education/Qualifications:
- An HNC/ HND in a related discipline.
Experience:
- Relevant experience and a sound knowledge of building construction.
- Working knowledge of Contract Administration would be an advantage.
- Fully conversant in the use of all major building materials.
- Be able to develop details
- Fully conversant with AUTOCAD & 3D modelling. Experience of the use in AUTOCAD REVIT would be advantageous. |
