The UK & Irish Building Services sector is a key target market for this company. The portfolio of products and technical solutions available for this market is extensive, including Car park Smoke Ventilation, Stairwell Pressurization, Chilled Beams, Air Handling Units, Chillers, Displacement Ventilation, Axial Fans, Fire Dampers, Iris Dampers and VAVs. These products are manufactured in World Class facilities across Europe, including plants in Sweden, Finland and the UK. Operating from sales offices in Belfast, Dublin & Cork they employs around 50 people and the UK business employs around 420 people. The company is currently engaged in an exciting process of business expansion and continues to grow in importance within the larger Ireland group. The Northern Ireland office is now seeking a high calibre Applications Engineer. Job Description Job Title: Applications Engineer Reports to: Regional Manager -Interpreting technical specification of sales orders. -Placing of purchase orders / requisitions. -Liaising with consultants and contractors on a technical basis as and when required. -Maintain financial control of orders and projects to completion. (Microsoft Great plains is the order processing system used) Purpose of Job – Sales: -Familiarisation of full product range. (Companies offerings, agency businesses and specialist contracted works). -Reviewing and interpreting technical specification of sales enquiries. -Selection of suitable equipment (Software selection programs or manual). -Pricing of Selected Equipment. -Submission of Quotations to Customers. -Clarification of Customers' queries as they arise. -Handover to project manager when an order is received. -Follow up previous quotations to track order potential. Responsibilities and Duties-Examine all technical specifications of sales orders received to ensure compliance with specification. -Arrange for purchase of materials. -Develop a complete schedule to meet delivery schedules and site programs. -Ensure all documentation is in place and is supplied as required. -Liaise with client and appoint subcontractors. Arrange for commissioning staff to be present for installation. -Responsible for co-ordination of CAD operation for each project. -Responsible for maintaining financial control of the order or contract, including invoicing and agreeing cost variations. -Complete final handover documentation to client. -Troubleshooting any problems, technical, commercial or other as they arise.
