One of Northern Ireland's most successful and innovative packaging manufacturers and is a market leader in the supply of a wide range of packaging products to the soft drinks, mineral water and beverage markets. Currently they wish to recruit a maintenance shift engineer who will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of factory production equipment. Responsibilities: · Repair of electrical and mechanical systems/equipment within the factory. · Installation of any new equipment. · Contribute to the efficiency of the operation by identifying preventative maintenance tasks for the equipment and maximising uptime of machinery. · Comply with quality, safety, environmental management systems and procedures to ensure all duties are executed in a safe manner, minimising harm to the environment, self and others. · Any other duties which may be required by the management to ensure the efficient running of the factory Requirements : Essential · Time-served, maintenance engineer preferably in a continuous manufacturing environment · Working knowledge and experience of processing plant and equipment · Ability to diagnose electrical faults down to board level · Understanding of fault finding within mechanical assemblies · Ability to diagnose faults from PLC · Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team · IT Literacy – must be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Requirements : Preferable · Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration systems and electronics · Ability to interpret 2-D and 3-D drawings · Background of working with high speed, high output equipment · HND or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other similar qualification The successful applicant will be required to work 12-hour shifts on a continental shift pattern.
