The company has a strong presence in Northern Ireland and ROI, and is currently leading the A5 Western Transport Corridor Upgrade-an 88km scheme to upgrade the main route to Aughnacloy to dual carriageway. This is one of the largest and most high profile projects in the region to date and is expected to last for a number of years.
Mouchel are now seeking an experienced highways project manager to take overall control of the day to day running of the project. Reporting to the project director, you will have full operational management responsibility for delivery of design and administration, working through your team of section managers and directing a team of 70 overall, plus sub consultants.
Responsibilities To manage overall operations in respect to the following key areas Preparation of project budgets and fee estimates:
*Project delivery and financial analysis *Project performance measurement and management *Management of a number of teams’ workload and utilisation *To assess project H&S and quality procedures and operate in accordance with them *To manage and assess commercial and contractual risk
Required Skills and Experience: A qualified engineer (chartership is essential for this role), you will have substantial highways experience and a track record managing highways and infrastructure projects with values of at least £75m. Your communication skills will be exemplary and you will be comfortable liaising at all levels, both within an organisation, and in government. A full driving licence is essential. Degree qualified in civil engineering is highly desirable. Ideally you will be a chartered member of a relevant engineering institute.
