Leading food manufacturer require a Maintenance Engineer to join their professional team.  In this role you will be involved ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standard providing maximum efficiency.
 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Time served as a manufacturing or industrial electrician or mechanic with City & Guilds qualification or equivalent experience and training plus 2 years post time served.
- Experience in both trades.
- Fault finding experience and familiarity with high-speed equipment and ability to read drawings.
- Strong team player with good problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to make effective decisions.
- Well motivated individual who must be able to work on their own initiative.  
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
·         Support engineering initiatives to maximize production line efficiencies.
·         Engage in problem solving & trouble shooting activities in a high speed food processing plant.
·         Provide technical support for the plant facilities & services including compressed air, steam, refrigeration and effluent plant.
·         Contribute towards and carry out preventive maintenance routines and work instructions.
·         Work with all suppliers on new equipment and installations.
·         Work with operations in improving line efficiencies, reducing downtime and sharing knowledge with operations.
·         Keep Engineering Supervision and Operations department informed of any problems or issues.
·         Assist in completing documentation relevant to machinery and equipment.
·         Participate in training activities and share knowledge gained with others.
·         Research work for new projects & input of new ideas.
·         Good housekeeping.
·         Adhere to all company policies & procedures.
