Role They currently have vacancies for Fire Engineers in our Belfast, Limerick and Dublin offices. Duties: Working within a team of engineers and technicians reporting to an Associate level, Group Leader, Preliminary and detailed fire safety design, Preparation of fire safety certificate applications for a range of building use, Use of numerical methods of fire growth and smoke modelling, Acting as office project manager on some projects suitable to engineer's level of experience, Liaising with clients, contractors, local authorities, architects and other design team members, Working to tight deadlines, Fire safety surveys of buildings / assessment of plans and preparation of Technical Reports for clients, Manage and maintain the files for projects, Ensure all drawings, reports and calculations prepared for the project are following the QA checking procedures, Update the project plan during the project and complete the site visit risk assessment form and the Form 1 & 2 Design risk assessment and any other necessary QA form applicable to the project.
Key Competencies Relevant degree qualified and preferably working towards or achieved Chartered Status, Good knowledge, experience and competency in the areas of design listed above and associated legislative requirements, Experience of range of building solutions and projects, Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, Excellent communications, Good computer skills and in particular CAD / modelling software
Experience Minimum 2-3 years experience
