About the Organisation
Mouchel has been working in Ireland for over 20 years for Roads Service, Local Authorities and the National Roads Authority on major trunk road and motorway commissions. In addition the team provide support to other sectors of Mouchel providing infrastructure design and supervision to private developments, ports and public realm projects. Mouchel also offer Technical Advisor and call-off support services to DBFO Contracts.
Our Projects
Following the success of the A1-N1 Newry Dundalk Link Road, a unique cross-border initiative, Mouchel’s major projects include; M17 Galway – Tuam improvement, A4 Dungannon to Ballygawley and their most recent project the A5 Western Transport Corridor an 88km scheme to dual the A5 from Derry to the border at Aughnacloy. Other projects currently being delivered include; N8 Fermoy to Mitchelstown, N6 Kinnegad to Athlone, A31 Magherafelt Bypass, A29 Cookstown Bypass, A28 and A7 Overtaking Schemes, Armagh East Link, and Lurgan Gilford Road Link. Mouchel are also providing infrastructure support for Victoria Terminal 4 Project, NI Science Park, and Belfast Public Realm and Lifford Public Realm.
The Vacancies
Mouchel is committed to expanding its operations in Ireland and is seeking divisional directors for both Dublin (Dun Laoghaire) and Belfast (Holywood). These people will manage individual divisions and will input to and drive forward strategy for the development of the civil engineering division in Ireland, with full profit and loss responsibility. They will be a senior member within each office with managerial responsibility for the major projects team therein. The divisional directors will manage a portfolio of projects regionally, as well as supporting the major projects team. They will also work closely with the senior major projects directors to seek and explore opportunities to build the business across Ireland, both through business development and through leveraging internal networks and encouraging synergies across the Mouchel business. Required Skills and Experience
*An experienced engineer, ideally possessing chartered membership of a relevant professional institution. *You should have knowledge and experience of relevant management systems / process for comparable civil engineering projects – ideally, although not essentially from a consultancy environment. *Experience of leading a team of engineering professionals with exposure to public and private sector management. *Experience of effective project management at a senior level. *Possessing a sound technical background, your communication skills will be exemplary and you will be comfortable liaising at all levels, both within an organisation, and in with client representatives. *A full driving licence is essential. *Degree qualified in civil engineering is highly desirable. Ideally you will be a chartered member of a relevant engineering institute.
