The purpose of this role is to ensure Statutory & Legal Compliance of the Electrical Infrastructure across a Woodford Site, through the implementation of planned preventative maintenance and testing regimes. Working for a Facilities Management Company, the successful candidate will establish and maintain stock control of essential electrical consumables, ensure all electrical works are undertaken in accordance with wiring regulations/current NICEIC operational procedures and provide guidance to on-site electrical team, ensuring NICEIC documentation is completed satisfactorily. The post holder will also be responsible for the identification, control and continual assessment of all 3rd party electrical installers used on-site to ensure all electrical works undertaken will be carried out by competent persons who are adequately trained & appropriately supervised, including verification of competency, develop and maintain Inspection & Testing reporting procedure (ensuring non-conformances are identified with appropriate rectification proposals) and achieve “Authorised Persons- AP” Status to ensure implementation of EFS Safe Systems of Work procedures to include LV – Electrical, AGL – Airfield Ground Lighting and Hazardous Areas. Due to the nature of the role applicants will ideally possess C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing (Essential as a minimum), C&G 2400 and COMPEX National Certificate (advantageous), have experience of IOSH – Managing Safely, be fully conversant with the NICEIC inspection, testing, certification & operational procedures and have previous experience within a similar role with previous leadership responsibilities. Applicants will also be able to demonstrate suitable experience in the management/supervision of electrical projects/installations, have good working knowledge of MS Office and E-mail combined with excellent communication skills both written and oral. On appointment the post will be subject to Defence Vetting Agency security clearance.
