PRODUCT ENGINEER/PROJECT ENGINEER

25-40k + AVENSYS + MOBILE + LAP TOP + PENSION + LIFE ASSURANCE

THE COMPANY

This manufacturer of electro-mechanical products for the rail industry continues to post 10% year on year growth. Company policy is to reinvest a significant portion of their £200m turnover in product development. Recent R+D has meant that this global market leader has a number of innovative prototypes targeted at rolling stock and infrastructure accounts.

THE ROLE

As a product/ project engineer your responsibilities will be;

" Field based 2-3 days a week
" Become a technical expert on the products
" Support the sales team in building strong technical relationships with the customer
" Put bids and in depth technical proposals together
" Conduct technical presentations
" Liaise with the customer and production to make sure all products are made to correct specification
" Project manage through to delivery
" Provide customer training

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal product/ project engineer should have;

" An electrical or electronic qualification or hands on experience
" Experience of working on large projects
Had customer contact
" Knowledge of the rail sector is ideal but by no means essential as an in depth training program will be provided
