MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: The mobile Engineer will work successfully within a small team of engineers and be responsible for the carrying out of the maintenance compliance, reactive repairs and installation to Fire and Security systems that are the responsibility of Dalkia.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Take a proactive role in ensuring all planned and reactive tasks are carried out in accordance with the relevant British Standards and Client's/Dalkia's service levels. • Attendance on time and completion of certification to Service Level Agreements • Display a "can do" attitude with the ability to work independently. • Operate and adhere to Dalkia’s Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times • Responsibility for the accuracy of the recorded drawings and device messaging on your sites. • Complete accurate documentation on time and communicate regularly with Dalkia Helpdesk. • Participate in the company training and development as requested.
MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal – Team engineers, Team Leader, Operational Managers, HSQE Managers, Inter-company managers, Helpdesk. External – Client's and client's representatives, managing agents.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES: A sound technical understanding of the Fire, access, intruder and CCTV systems • Driving License with less than 6 points. • Addressable and conventional fire control panels (Gent, Kidde, AEL, Kentec) • Addressable fire alarm devices (Hochiki HRE and ESP, Apollo) • Fire alarm sounder systems • Intruder Alarm maintenance • CCTV maintenance – Dedicated Micro, Interlex, Tecton, Pelco… • Access Control and door system, AFX Chubb, Cardax, PAC etc….. • An ability to find and rectify earth faults as well as open and short circuit faults. • Must pass BS7858: 2006 security screening process within 6 months.
This includes the latest version of BS5836 Part 1, BS5306 part 2. A keen eye for detail when completing accurate maintenance records with clear and concise report writing.
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES: • Fire alarm installation and commissioning • Extinguishant system maintenance • Access Control and door systems installation and commissioning Be conversant with the software programming of the equipment and the management of this critical information.
