A leading international consultancy with an annual Group turnover in excess of £200 million are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on a variety of infrastructure projects.
The chosen candidate will be working on their Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water (DCWW) AMP4 framework and in particular working within the Cost Management function of the AMP4 Asset Management Alliance’s (AMA) four regional delivery teams.
The role involves being responsible for the cost management of a number of schemes in and around local regions, working in a partnering environment with a variety of contractors and consultants.
Responsibilities:
• Full cost planning of projects.
• To cost manage projects from inception to completion and beyond.
• Cost forecasting and reporting.
• Effective communication
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner
• Liaising with other managers to ensure consistency of service delivery
Skills / Experience Required:
• Effective communication skills
• Negotiating and influencing skills
• Demonstrable achievement of targets / goals
• Ability to work in a team / partnering environment
• Ability to deliver pre and post contract services
• Candidates with Water experience would be ideal. However, any good infrastructure experience may suffice with Actual Cost/Target Cost contract experience in a Partnering environment.
