Graduate Quantity Surveyor Have you recently graduated? Just come back from your holiday and looking to put your degree to work? If so this could be the role to kick start your career into action
We are seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their Warrington office. They are based within the nuclear sector, so this is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is looking to get a foot in the door of the thriving nuclear industry
Our Client is one of the UK’s leading engineering, consulting and health physics services. They have been supporting the nuclear sector for over 50 years and currently have in excess of 1000 employees working on nuclear sites across the UK. Activities include design and build of new facilities, nuclear decommissioning, waste management, land remediation and radiation safety
Key Responsibilities • Reviewing & negotiating contracted conditions for major projects • Drafting commercial qualifications for tender submissions • Estimating • Setting up and operating project cost control • Compiling and agreeing assessments / valuations • Operating EVA and making project recommendations • Notifying, valuing and agreeing variations
Job Requirements • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent • Minimum of 1 year experience in a quantity surveying or alternative commercial position within a contracting environment • Experience with, or at least knowledge of NEC contracts • Good written and verbal communication skills • Good IT skills • Must have a driving license
In return for this my client can offer a very competitive salary ranging from between £22,000 - £30,000 depending on experience. They can also offer to you the prospect of being supported through your APC which could eventually lead to your Chartership.
